La Hacienda Ranch has the best fajitas anywhere! Several locations in DFW area. Grapevine area, Las Colinas, and Frisco. I usually go to the one off 121 near Grapevine.

Was not that impressed with Mi Cocina or Joe T's...pretty average I thought.

Did you go during the day or at night? Last time we were there we made the mistake of going about 7:00 and ended up waiting 45 minutes. Still good though...

We have two very good Mexican Food places here local. In Bridgeport Dos Grande Chiles, they have locations in Bowie & Boyd also. In Decatur Casa Torres is outstanding as well. If you are ever around give them a try.

It was around 7:00 or so at night. We did have to wait a few minutes but not long.

+1 on Papa's Pantry in Van Horn. Also out there, you have La Casita in Alpine, Toni's in Van Horn (which is just an old lady in an open kitchen cooking up whatever you want...freaking amazing), and Tortilleria Lizzie in Van Horn. Cueva De Leon in Fort Davis is good too. There's always some small new place popping up in any of those towns which is worth going to.

In the metroplex, Uncle Julio's has excellent Poblano Chile Rellenos (I'm partial to the N.M. green chiles, but you generally can't get those East of the Pecos River). I eat at Joe T's all the time as well, and throw in Mi Cocina or La Familia sometimes too.

I wish I was West of the Pecos today.

I am used to west Texas Mexican food. now that I am here in Weatherford i can't find anything but doritos and ketchup served. It is hard to beat west texas mexican food. Rosa's is about as good as it gets around here. El Toritos here in weatherford was damn good, but it closed down.

Where is your favorite Mexican food place?

I feel your pain, and I am glad I'm not the only one that doesn't consider Weatherford to be West Texas.

I have found that for Mexican food the dirtier the better. any place called Jaliscos or Taqueria is bound to be pretty good.

Taqueria Oxaca in Abilene at the corner of N. Willis and Ambler. By far, and w/o a doubt, the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. MMMMM, this post is making me hungry!

Later the better when I have been there... got there about 8 on a convention weekend Saturday.... had a nice long wait...and they served ICCLLN's while you wait.... and they never made it to my bill. I asked the server (not wanting to be arrested leaving....) and he said they generally don't charge when you have to wait.... like that.

+1 on Los Molcajetes - been haunting the place since it opened in '98. They still serve a good mole - ask for them to put it on a tamale plate. Too bad they dropped the pressed tortas.

Don't know if anyone else posted it but I like Angelica's in Floresville. Their cheese enchiladas are freakin' delicious.
