I'm going on my first ever S. TX deer hunt tomorrow to get some meat. I have never hunted in an area like this and I'm super stoked! Anyways, I just wanted to share that I'm really excited and give a special shout out to Willy with Texas Outdoor Organizers (TOO). He set up this whole hunt for me free of charge. Here's hoping for some deer meat!

hope you pack em in! I was in S Tx this past weekend and saw LOTS of deer but no does.....
lots of hogs out movin too!

Well, went out to the ranch today about noon and was able to take two nice deer. Saw plenty of deer that's for sure. Y'all sure know how to grow 'em down here for sure!!! Thanks for all the help.

As promised: It was pretty dang hot on Tuesday, almost 90 degrees where we were, but the deer were still moving. The wind seemed to make them pretty skittish, but we saw plenty of deer, and a few very nice bucks. Skinned and quartered and the meat is already at the processor. Can't wait to have some steaks! Doe #1  Doe #2

I was hunting on a MLD Level III ranch...ain't closed 'till the end of Feb.
