Here's couple of pics of the boxes of shells. My dad's got five or six boxes of the Remington loads not sure how many of the Western Super X he has. Any help would be great. Thanks --- -AL

Yeah, I think they're at least that age. There is a market for these today, unless you just want them because of family reasons. Take care of them.

There is some guy on the forum, who's father in law in Minnesota collects that sort of thing and I can't remember who it is. Maybe someone will chime in.

At first glance I'd say closer to late 1930's, mebbe post WW II or pre Korean War...but no newer than the early 1950's. If Leo Bradshaw in Waco is still alive go ask him...he sold tons of the WW stuff out of Cogdills on Valley Mills. Ron

I believe the Blue/Yellow/Red Western Super-X ammunition dates from 1944-1954 -- depends on the gauge.
All I can say about the Remington shells is that the "New Remington Crimp" was introduced in the 1940s.
