Looks like a home defense gun to me! I'm an A class Limited shooter. I shoot a Para 16-40 in USPSA, and I use it, a DPMS 20" rifle, and Mossberg 930 Flannigan in 3 gun.

I compete with a Tikka action, Bartlein 6.5 Creedmoor and Manners T-4. I'm pretty quick with it too.

Does it shoot .355 or .356" bullets? Or does it matter? My reloading manual says they should be .356 and weigh 130 grains but I think most factory ammo is just load 38 super cases with the same bullets as used with 9mm. I suspect you would get bad accuracy if you had a .356 bore.
I'm afraid 38 super will be just as much of a can of worms as 357 sig, I'm still not sure if it's supposed to headspace on the mouth or shoulder.

All the super loads I've ever seen are loaded with 9mm bullets.

I wonder if converting is a simple as just changing barrel to 9mm ?

I wonder if converting is a simple as just changing barrel to 9mm ? Yes. It may require some fitting. Also, you may need a lighter recoil spring.

38 Super is .356 and you can find factory ammo loaded with the appropriate size bullet. If you reload, you can get .356 from Precision Delta for a good price. The 38 Super cartridge is identical to the older 38 Auto/38 ACP. The Super is basically a +P cartridge. The older guns could not handle the increased pressure, thus leading to the Super designation even though the cartridge dimensions are the same. I have an old Colt 38 Auto that I reload for since you cannot find the lower pressure 38 Auto ammo any longer.

It's easy to load for and pretty equivalent in performance to the 357. Very fun to crack off at a public range as it's about as load as a snubb nose 357. The open comp guys that run them are impressive to watch. It sounds close to full auto speed.
