I hunt in Texas, but I live in Louisiana (SA remarks to a min. please), and have a lot of area down here that i can hunt Yotes and a lot of them (lot of cats too, but LDWF frown on that in LA, if not Deer season), but I need some advice on calls. I Pref. electronic calls over mouth calls. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The best electronic call is the woodpecker; the baby cottontail isn't bad either. I use a Johnny Stewart tape player, however, any portable tape player will work.

I believe the tape is ct116a squeling bird and it is deadly medicine on everything. My friends from Zimbabwe are even using it now on lions and leopards.

I don't know what it is about a squealing bird that appeals to predators, but they sure seem to work the best. I've heard of mt. lions coming in to them, but calling in Africa lions and leopards is amazing.
