Anybody got trigger time behind the .204? Looking to get one, just need some info from someone who has shot one.

have you check the ammo price? the prices maybe coming down, like they do after something new is out for a while, I read an article last year on the 204, looks to be a great caliber.

Hi! I'm a little late in responding, but I just came across this site. I just bought a Ruger .204 and I am hoping to take it out soon. The crows are finally making their way back to my part of Canada. The .204 has been declared "the hottest small-bore centerfire cartridge" by Predator Xtreme magazine. Every review that I've read has only been positive.
Good luck with your purchase. You won't regret it!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Much appreciated. This is only the second site that I belong to. Looks great so far. Looking forward to having everyone answer all of my questions. After all, I am only a novice (but still a good shot!). Are there any other Canadians out there?

I bought a browning A-bolt varmint stalker in .204 ruger and love it. I put an end to a couple coons that destroyed my deer feeder and got my first turkey with it last weekend. The coons were at 150 yards and it did the job pretty quick. I would definitly recommend the round to anyone.

A buddy of mine has one in a Browning and I have one in a Ruger. The Hornady 45 gr SP loads are awesome on coyotes. Zero that gun at 200 and I'm hitting just less than 1" in a 3 shot group at 300 yards. Its an awesome little gun. I am really wanting to take this gun out to an active prairie dog town someday and try it out.

You may have some trouble getting the 45 gr loads and Hornaday is the only one that I know of that makes them. I had to get my local dealer to get it from his distributor and he didn't know they even made it until I showed him the info from Hornaday's website and made the call to order.

I put a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20x50mm on mine and I'm loving it so far.

I have a 3-9 on my Browning. I think I need more magnification to get the most out of this gun. That Leupold 6.5-20 seems like one of the better options out there. I think cabela's has that scope for around $650. Is that a good price or should I shop around?
