I catered some food for a bunch of duck hunters last night and most of them seemed to be quite sane!!!  They are from the Houston area and said the coastal hunting places are all drying up and no one is planting much of anything. I don't know how they found me and my B-I-Law but they said they googled us and found we had some larger water reservoirs. At any rate we consigned them for next year and they are hunting our place this morning.

Insane....
Get up at all kinds of ungodly hours to go splash around in a river or lake and sit in the dark waiting on birds and the worse the weather the better.

I hear ya. I'm looking for a different critter to hunt. One where you can sleep in, get up about nine or ten o'clock. where the temp is about 70 degrees, and you can play on this forum while you hunt. Now THAT would be Perfect.

I'll answer GR because I've had a couple of pms about the hunt. The hunt actually occured on my B-I-Laws place but future plans are to acquire some different places to hunt on because you waterfowlers know how private stock tank hunting goes!!! It went very well in the kill sector and the guys came away with a lot of limits! There were eight hunters so, in the future if any of you want to book some duck hunts I'll furnish you with the details in a PM.
