Has anyone seen the commercial on the hunting channels for the broadhead that has a 5" cutting diameter? If so what is the name? Very Interesting.
Dont tell me you shot the 4 point for the meat when there are does all around.

No.. But sounds like a bad idea.

No.. But sounds like a bad idea. I gotta agree.... more friction to impede penetration and I'm always concerned with mechanicals and hitting bone.

Broadhead cutting diameter, is becoming like shaving razors, first you had one blade, then two, then three, and then 4...I don't know if there's more than that now I stopped at 3. When will it end, 6 inch diameter and a 12 bladed razor, too funny.
Why is it that every time I push #1 for english, I cannot understand the person on the other end???

From what i saw, it is a normal broadhead. The blades are in the arrow body itself and deploy on impact widening the cutting area. I saw them too and dont know what to think of them. I think my Hartcraft fixed blade ones will do plenty of damage....lol

It won't kill em any faster than a flint rock in the lungs. I read where the guy that invented Rocket broadheads actually used two kitchen knife blades for his first expandable and it had 7" cut. Who knows? I think it's all stupid, just shoot razor sharp fixed into the organs and quit with all the, expand the zone. Here's an idea, practice and put the arrow where it should be.

If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I have seen it and the big blades are in the shaft itself not the head, the way I understand it it's an arrow system not just a broadhead.

If it's the one with the blade in the shaft there was a post on here with pics a month or so ago. The guy that posted is friends with the guy that came up with it. He got flamed since he was new but... he later sent a pic of a doe he took with it. Big hole no doubt.
"I gotta agree.... more friction to impede penetration and I'm always concerned with mechanicals and hitting bone."
I had the same concern but took a doe last weekend with the Grim Reaper 2" Whitetail Special. The shot was too far forward and still blew through the shoulder but barely pierced the other side of the chest cavity. It caused massive hemorrhaging and she went 125 yds or less. The GR has the same type trocar point that the Muzzy's do shattered the shoulder bone and the blades deployed completely. I'm sold.

that is the one i saw on the commercial....what it seems to me is that it is trying to take out the chance of a bad shot....if you hit an animal with that, and it opens up a cut through their body over 5 inches wide from entrance to exit and dont kill the animal.....then what have you done??? i would think that no matter where you place that arrow, it will be a kill shot as it would be dang near impossible to not hit something vital with that wide of a cutting radius.....kinda seems like it is taking some of the skill out of the hunt in my mind

Has anyone seen the commercial on the hunting channels for the broadhead that has a 5" cutting diameter? If so what is the name? Very Interesting. A guy posted that arrow (Slash INsetBlade) on here several months back. I think it was the manufacturer getting in some advertizing claiming his friend was making them. The 5" diameter is not what they claim. They advertize "5in of total cutting surface" and that includes the cutting surface of the broadheads. With the blades laying down at an angle I bet they are in reality only a few inches wide. Probably no different than existing mechanical opening blades.
