I drive 765 all the time have seen some great deer along that road.

Oh yeah I go 765 to my lease as well, that road is scary at night, I always feel like I am in a video game dodging deer

That is about right....we hunt close to Eden and drive the dreaded 765 and at night you better be on the lookout....I just hit a deer about 3 weeks ago coming home....We always see dead deer on the road.

We have had some 130's, 140's and one 150 class deer.

Not exactly in the same area but I have counted 123 deer on the side of the road between Eldorado and Brady.....Between Brady and Llano has got to be one of the worst for hitting deer because of the curves in the road.

Said he had one guy hunting it the last several years and he is getting transferred so he just called him yesterday and i was the lucky guy he heard on his voicmail..LOL

Several of ya'll are south of me. My place is located north of Brownwood. The area around the Colorado River is good. I haven't heard of many big deer coming from that area, but I know that the potential is there with some proper management.

Seems like the deer get a little bigger in Brown County as you head south. They stay big until you hit the hill country couties.

See we are in the northeastern part of Coleman county & have seen some BIG deer in the northern part of Brown county. Used to have a lease south of Brownwood a few miles & the deer were thin horned & smaller bodied.

My ranch is in the northern part of Brown county. Five miles east/southeast of May to be exact. You are right, we do have some big deer in northern Brown county.

Have a friend that has property on the Colorado right off US 377 at Wenchel. They have had good sucess even though it is a small piece on land. Last year he bagged a 140-plus class eight point.

My deer lease for the past 8 years has been off o 765 and has been really fun. The deer hunting has been up and down but in general its pretty good. You'll definitely have no problem seeing animals. I'd say you're biggest issue will be whether or not your place has been managed well. It's beautiful country. Good number of turkeys too.

We own the property to the east of where you were looking and would love to have some responsible hunters lease the place. We have found probably a dozen deer carcuses on our property which were obviously shot from the other side of the fence. The feeders were lined against our fence with the blinds set back from the feeders. All shots were aimed onto our property and are just really glad they are gone and someone else hopefully a little more responsible coming in. Let me know if you are still looking at there.

Thanks

tt

Can you tell us what size the place is and how many guns they want?

If not here, please PM me the details as well as the price??? Have a nice little lease right now only 50 miles from the Casa but I'd love to find a place that has more deer on it!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
