SIL gave me a Browning cap light 2 years ago. Its great. Uses 1 AA battery. Can shine spot or flood in white, red, Blue or green. a touch heavy on the bill of the cap but with good lighs, and versitility, a little weight is acceptable.

I just bought the 3000 LM handheld one. I have been looking for a good flash light/spot light for night time hog hunting. For 35 bucks it is worth a shot to see if its any good. If it shines anything like the picture then I am sure it will work great!

Keep the light and throw the batteries away. Ultrafire batteries are rebuilt laptop cells. Spend another 20 bucks and buy some Panasonic cells ncr18650b.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

Coast lights are my favorites and they use common batteries like the AAA, AA and D. Adjustable beams, high-low settings and come with a holster to strap on your belt.

Very nice! That's a lot of lumens for a pretty good price. Hows battery life on that thing? I'd be scared pushing that much light out it would be dead in 10 minutes. Maybe I'm wrong.

Thats got 2 18650mah batteries, those should last you a while on a single charge. I just ordered it to test out.

I have that one from ebay. Love it! Extremely bright! kind of clinky though. but my favorite flashlight.

For headlamps check this one out...

It will be my next flashlight. Im a flashlight and cheap pocket knife junkie also.

I prefer the lights that clip-on the bill. They have one of those?

I can attest to this. I just bought 2 Ultrafires and one of the batteries is stone cold dead. Will not take a charge. Contacted Cynergy and no response yet as to what they will do about it. I'll go get the Panasonic batteries and go on down the road. I like the light but the batteries are junk.

If you have a "Vape" store close by, they will carry various brands of these batteries (not sure on price, ebay probably cheaper).

ZK-315, that pic is a C-8, many distr. carry that light for dif. prices, and dif. XML-leds. I have around 15 led lights, my C-8 is an Ultrafire, it came with an XML-T6/R2-U2 bin led, one dual battery charger, and one 3000 mah lithium battery. $15 on E-bay. Hard to beat for price. I have a couple of Streamlights for my night hunting and others. Research online, E-bay and many others, read light reviews and forums. You can get some helpful advise. Talk to people that have the lights and use them. Lots of over priced hype out there. Been doing this for a few years now. Thats my two.. up

oh I agree. A different friend had a different 'brand' of light 3 or 4 months ago, but looked identical to mine. I got mine about 3-4 years ago when the LED craze was just starting to hit the market. I was always partial to my 4 cell mag-light but that thing weighed as much as a small elephant. Then this light was shown to me, and I got it. If I would have only waited a year or so for the cheaper, non-name branded lights came out, it would have been MUCH cheaper. haha

I bought this light based on the recommendation here and had to put it to the test last night tracking a deer. I expected a lot more for it to be 2200 lumens, it wasnt any better than my Bushnell 265lumens light that I picked up from Wal-Mart.

Question: Could it be the Ultrafire batteries causing this?

If it isn't any better than your bushnell something is wrong for sure. My buddy has a streamlight and I can turn mine on over the top of his and you can't even tell his is on. Did you charge it for 24 hours first?

I use it in the deer blind/duck blind if i need light. Doesn't hurt your 'night vision' as much as white light.

I charged both batteries, but to be honest they have sat in my bag for a week or so since the charge. I probably should have charged both of them the night before, but yesterdays trip was a spur of the moment thing.

Also make sure you have it on high. If you push the power button multiple times it changes the power level. I use mine on low until I really need lots of light because low saves battery power.

SUREFIRE built tough and bright. Plus you can buy filters red green or blue. Only lights I'll ever own. Petzel lights for headlamps. Had mine since I was in army still going strong

I got the flashlight out today and noticed it does have a low/medium/high setting. I was definitely on high. Could it be the Ultrafire batteries? If so, what do u recommend I replace them with?

Google the Ultrafire batteries and you'll see people have a lot of problems with them. I did. Most recommend the Panasonic as a replacement.
