Well, we took a man and his son out this weekend, both got hogs, both shot with 22-250 from stands....in the head...biggest was about 100 lbs, the other might have been 30lbs.

We did not see many hogs at all, even at night. They have started trapping again on this place and two around it and have trapped over 130 so far....one trap had 26 piglets in it.....thanks!!! Our deer seem to move better when they trap and we see a lot more deer..but the big benefit is the turkey....We have seen more birds this year then before we got hogs. Now, we have 4 turkey feeders out and they hammer the milo. I saw over 30 toms this weekend and 5 of them were dragging some big paint brushes around....Cannot wait until spring season. If it means less hogs and more turkey, then I am for it. They have to destroy the eggs when a hen is on a nest.....that is my guess as to why we are seeing more and more birds and the hogs numbers are declining.

With all my rhetoric about wasting meat, if we can get rid of most of the feral hogs, and find a way to eradicate fireants, I think not only will the turkey population do better, but so will Bobwhites. JMO.

Young Co..

We had some folks go out to the place off 67 and they hunted a morning and evening and never saw hogs....but they were there at night. We will go out and check the cameras this weekend.

None were wasted, they went back home with the son. However, I did think about you and if I was to shoot another one, then I was going to skin it and clean it and call you. What I need from you, is your phone number, PM it to me. I am sure I had it at one time, but cannot find it, switched phones...etc......I will get some more this spring I am sure, happy to bring it back, just need a contact number.

I'll pm you the # and be more than happy to come and get it.

Lora and I are going to try and hook up with Justin 7-11 this Sat. and maybe get a hog or 2 from him.

Thanks Steve.
