I bet when you draw up some basic plans and "ask for her opinion", she may start getting the itch.

Already done that. And she has asked me to revise a few things. Gone from home, working is what she's not liking. Rome wasn't built in a day and if I'm anything it's tenacious.

Hell as far as working, I'm right there with her LOL, but working on your own place and projects, makes a huge difference to me, allot of satisfaction I guess. Good thing is, you have enough to keep you busy for some time grin

Just pencil on graph paper, first draft. Gotta make the second draft, and of course many rooms are getting bigger. I'd be happy to share what I have.

I have a 600 gal water trailer and a semi trash pump you can use this winter if it would help. The trailer is in Jacksboro and it would need a couple of tires to run on the highway. I only use it at the ranch so I don't care that they are dry rotted. Let me know if your interested.

Since late October I have been waiting on other people. Namely the lender, the the appraiser. Finally closed on the loan Dec 5. Then on Dec 7 I go on a Mule deer hunt that's been scheduled since July. Concrete guy said next week working around Christmas. Was supposed to have driveway material brought in the last two days, but the rain ruined that. So today, to stay productive, I drove the truck a whole bunch retrieving the I-beams. Prolly go to Bonham Friday to deal with the county and then the electric Co-Op to get my power ran down to the site.

In Oklahoma, where I got the beam, it was 36 degrees and raining while we were sorting and loading the I-beam. Terrible!

Brand new beam was going to be $10.80 per foot, and was lighter weight. This was heavier 10" 23#, and 8" 18#. Gave $6.67/ foot for the 10", and $5.50 for the 8". I got the time to do a little cutting and grinding to clean them up with a 40% savings on the steel.

And yeah, wish I had enough left over to build a bridge with. I will have to go back and get some more some day for that project.
