do you pinch them in so that it still grabs the duck, but so you can get hooks out i guess?
do those float? how long are the ones you use, that work good?

Largest Spook size you have, 3 treble preferably. If you weight the back end by using a very large/heavy hook it makes snagging much easier because the nose will be angled upward. Heavy line is essential

We used to make something similar to this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-FETCH-IT...=item43cf0644d7Ours had 3 wire hooks on the end, looked like a grappling hook Body was made out of Styrofoam, the wires twisted together and shoved up a hole drill in the middle. We had to add weight to it to get some distance. With a Zebco 33 you could fling that sucker across the country. Foam at Hobby Lobby, wire from coat hanger.

I recommend you consider getting a dog. It beats toting fishing rods and it improves the overall experience. [img:center] [/img]

I have used a spook many times, but the best was an big old prop bait with triple trebles . It cast far in the heavy winds and tracked truer across the water surface than a "walk the dog" bait such as a spook, this made it easier to precisely snag birds in.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE
