So I just finished purchasing my "non-resident" licence on-line for myself and a youth licence for my youngest son who is 15.
We are planning a road trip to Texas and will be "in state" from March 13-20, 2015. This corresponds with my son's high-school spring break.
The plan is to get some hunting in as the only thing open up our way is coyote at that time of year. Was thinking hogs but if anyone has better/different ideas would be glad to hear them.
Looking forward to some great hunting.
Thanks.

Never violate a woman, nor harm a child. Do not lie, cheat or steal. These things are for lesser men. Protect the weak against the evil strong. And never allow thoughts of gain to lead you into the pursuit of evil.

options at that point are
Spring turkey Hogs(always open) Varmints(coyotes, foxes, bobcats, coons... Other stuff, always open) Exotics(probably most expensive, but always open)
honestly that time of year is spawn... I'd go to fork or Amistad...
