Well gentlemen. It warmed up smartly out here but absolutely no wind. Wasps were fired up. Had to go to plan B as the stand I wanted too sit was covered, not inside but all over the outside.

Did not see a thing. Really frustrating. From 5 on it was completely still and as the sun settled it cooled off nicely. Will try it again in the am and update got 13% moon tonite. Corn still under the feeders from am spin.

I will be headed out tomorrow....Hoping things will change since last time I was out....although its suppose to be warm tomorrow. I let yall know if I see anything.

I'll be trying to get er done near Murray tomorrow up the path from 4Weight. Will report back on hopefully good actvity/success.

Perfect morning guys, 35 degrees not a lick of wind till about 9.15. Breezy now. About 8am 3.5 yr old 8 comes to the corn and actually jumps into the feeder pen. Right G2 pushing 12 " gonna guess 125-130ish buck. Just not what I'm looking for so he walked but what a pleasure it was to watch him for 20 minutes. He was pretty buffed up and got within about 30 yds of my blind. Only deer I saw but it sure made my morning.

Nada this evening. Hit the stand at about 3.30. Went through a can of wasp spray. Killed 5 that buzzed in the blind but no sting. Talked to DQ on phone. Kinda strange, but my thoughts:

My place is tight mesquite cover. Only one very small oak stand. I just don't think the does are on my place and I think they are all split up. If you see does, you should see bucks with them but if don't see does, you'll see the solo buck like I saw this am or you'll see nada.

Got to blind today around 3 this afternoon. It was about 71 degrees with a slight eastern wind. Sat all afternoon and did not see anything. The only bright side is I checked TC and had a couple of bucks. Here's a couple of them.

I was hoping to get out this weekend, but the rain tells me no. Oh well. I'll be there from Fri-Sun next week.

Cool pics, my buddy hunted today and said it rained hard between Newcastle & Olney . He saw some deer moving and hope he gets one in the morning !

It rained to much for me to get out. I tried to drive to blind around 3 and almost got stuck. Roads are to muddy. Never made it to blind. Turned around and packed up the cabin and decided to head home. Spend some time with the wife. She hasn't seen much if me since deer season started.

SamSam, I was out hunting near Murray Friday and didn't see a thing but a lonely song dog which I missed. Corn still piling up under feeders, very few pics the past week. Interestingly when driving down FM 209 around 6:15PM no less than 4 miles from my place I saw two doe and a very nice 8-10 pt. buck so I know they're still in the vicinity. Been another tough year so far for me. Also hearing close to no shots around me so have a feeling it's tough for others as well.

Talked a friend who hunts in Stephens Cty. near Snake Den Road and he said they got 3 inches there.

It's been Tough for everyone I've talked to this year from Graham, Southbend,Newcastle & Olney .

Should pickup after Thanksgiving into December

Same for me. Hunted Sunday morning hoping they stayed bedded down Saturday in the rain. Saw NO DEER, only 6 yotes. My 8 year old got excited about an owl and skunk (that he begged to shoot with his pellet gun). I think we got a yote issue. Hope to wage war on them between hunts this weekend.

In the stand at 3.30 Windy and 74, heard a big pig squealing about every 20-30 minutes, 75-100 yds from my stand. He never came out. Never saw a deer.

Back at it. 78 windy. Merc 9 Wasps 0.

64 and gusting winds. Wind died down yesterday evening about 5:30 but still no action. Yotes started singing for a brief minute.
