What do y'all think is the best game cam for the money. The one I have now will take pictures for about 2 days, then the batteries are dead. I would like one that I could leave for up to a month and it would continue to take photos. Thanks!

I bought 2 Brownings this year and totaly like one and don't care for the other. The Strike Force is an awesome TC and has great ratings on the web and a decent price tag. Fast trigger and super photos for a red glow. The one I wouldn't buy again, is also a Browning in the Black ops config, would be better suited to surveillance as mentioned in reviews. I ordered mine below, for the free extended warranty and extra SD card a well as their TC testing. http://www.trailcampro.com/

Don't waste your money on the cheap ones. I spent hundreds of dollars at first trying Wildgame Innovations and Moultrie's. The cameras chewed through batteries before other problems showed up. I bought a Cuddeback three seasons ago and I have probably only put four sets of batteries in it running about 9 months out of each year. Last month I found it after a bad storm with tennis ball sized hail came through on the ground. The case had two chipped cracks in it, but it was still taking pictures. I bought a Covert a few months ago for the email and text feature. It's been decent and reliable so far, but the quality and trigger are not as good as the Cuddeback.

I have tried several different brands of the smaller game cameras that use AA batteries, (Bushnell, Moultrie, StealthCam, etc). The only one that took good dusk/dawn pics was the Browning Strike Force. We are currently using 5 of these and are getting approximately 15000 pics on a set of 8 lithium batteries in these cameras. The number of days on the batteries depends on the number of pics per day, and the number of daytime vs nighttime pics. I couldn't be more pleased with these cameras.

I have 4 cuddebacks on my place and am very happy with the pics during day and night.
I have gotten rid of a moultrie and cabelas brand cameras as they didn't pan out due to poor quality or just poor performance.
I did pick up a bushnell trophy cam though but haven't gotten the pics yet so nothing to report on it.

Cuddeback customer service stinks. I only use Bushnell trophy cams now. Very long battery life and great pics.

I use stealth game cams with a battery pack. Work good and battery last a long time and then you just recharge it. Cameras cost $100-$125.

CS at cuddy sucks, won't buy one again.
Reconyx is suppose to be the best but I have no experience with them.

This Cuddebacks are horrible and there is NO customer service. we run 20 cameras and all brands. for your money moultrie is the best. Their Panoramic camera is awesome. Again Cuddebacks suck
You can't fix stupid

The 333 Moultrie with the fish eye lens? It was a great pic but was pretty wide for a shot on game.

I have 4 Browning Cameras (LED version) photo quality and battery life is very acceptable. My older "flash" cameras were better quality pics at night, but battery life was poor. Bought them for a little over $100 each on Natchez Shooting Supplies as they have a special going on for Browning cameras. ( http://www.natchezss.com) They carry most brands and prices are great.

The problem with TC's are they are left outside in the elements and it is impossible to replicate what one cam has went through with another. With this being said, there is no "best" camera out there. I have learned through the years that TC's are like cars.....they last longer the better you take care of them. I have a few Wildgame cams that are still going after 5 years in the field. My biggest problem was the sun breaking down the plastic and it eventually breaking or cracking. This would then let moisture in and be the death of it. Another part of taking care of them is not storing them in your garage that gets over 100 degrees in the summer.
Trigger speed/recovery speed is another conversation. I have three setups that I use: 1) cams on feeders- I don't care about trigger speed here and usually only let is take pics every 5 minutes to save on sd card storage 2) Plot watchers- I put the cam on the end of the field and let it take pics every 1 to 3 minutes from sun up to sun down and motion pics at night. This allows me to see where the deer come from and where the go during legal hunting times (most effective use of TC's IMO). 3) Cams on trails- these are usually placed in the woods and placed where they detect motion out to 30 yards...even if cam is 2 seconds to take pic, I still get the pic.
I like to provide protection from the southern sky on my cams, store them in my man cave from Jan to April, never let batteries leak in them and carry them in a protected bag (protected from other items rubbing and knocking against them). Again, doing all this, I have wildgame innovation cams that are 5 years old and still working. I use to not take care of my TC's and I was lucky to have them last 2 years.

I am a moultrie man. Like an M-80 or M-880. I own a ton of cameras and have been in the camera game for a long time. I just have the best luck with moultrie price vs quality. Also for a little less money and a little less night range but awesome reliability walmart sells a 6mp bushnell that you can only get at walmart that I highly recommend(i bet i have more than 10 of these little bushnells). Walmart Bushnell Moultrie takes a little wider and a little brighter picture. But for 85 bucks the bushnell does really well and never takes a blank pic. Both look great in the day time.
