I was offered a lease opportunity in Aspermont, TX. this year. I was just wanting some info. on how the hunting is there? Its only a one buck county so that kind of scares me to pay a lot of money for it only being a one buck county. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!

It depends on the ranch.There are some big deer in that area,150's plus!Lots of hogs to.

Very good Deer in that area.You just got to hunt hard and Keep under the radar.Lots of 140 160 class Deer.

I have over 400 acres there and the hunting on my land is great!!! We have real good deer and more hogs than you can shake a stick at. I love the bobcats and coyotes too.

Good area no true monsters, one ever now and then but should be able to find 140-150" in the area, lots of pigs and varmints.

Check the TP&W news release. There are proposed changes to make Stonewall County a five deer county and add a late antlerless/spike season. At this stage, usually whatever TP&W wants... TP&W gets. Texas Parks & Wildlife News Release

woohoo!! Young county goes to 5 deer (2 bucks!) and antler restrictions.... Ive never seen a decent deer out there that wouldnt make antler restrictions!!

alright guys I finally got on the aspermont lease today. It is off of 610 about 3 miles from the double peaks with a good river running through property. Does that sound like a good place there???

I saw a huge 150-160 class buck shot in aspermount a few years ago in the back of a truck going down 114.... I was trying to take a cell phone pick and the guy laughed and pulled over and let me take a picture of it... Hell of a deer.

Good place. I have nearly ran over a lot of good bucks going down 83 and seen hogs galore. By the way, a lot of the Counties in this area are one buck Counties.
