My dad sent me an old pic of one of his hot rods. Wish he still had some of these.

yes sir with tunnel ram. had the oldsmobile rear end, close ratio muncie, and roll cage. They wanted to put a fiberglass hood and doors but it was still a solid 12 second car on all motor back in 70. They both got married around the same time so they sold all there hot rods to start a family.
they got the short block from a funny car guy who they where buddies with. They would get hand me downs on his nitro engines that GM supplied him with. He was one of the few that ran big block chevy engines. A lot of it was pre production/proto type parts I think it was called CKC Racing.

This was my first car I was 16yrs old. 1969 Road Runners 440. My Dad was the second owner and bought it from his friend that ordered it in June of 1968.

I have always liked the old mopar muscle, and that is a nice one. Do you still have it? One day i will have another hot rod but it will be at least 15-18 years or if i can convince the wife that Jr. needs one for his first ride I can probably start shopping in 10 so it will be ready when he is 16.

No I owned it for 2yrs and right before I went into the Army I got rear ended by a 65 Falcon. They say the Falcon was going around 45miles hr. I was at a dead stop and seen him coming at me I nailed the throttle and just sat till smoking the tires. Well all said and done the rear of the car was touching the ground it got pushed in so far.

man that sucks, did you put the driver of that Falcon in flight?
no doubt, they shoe horn the engines in now a days. That 55 was street legal but it wasn't a daily driver. It only had two bucket seats and no rear seat. The front was just fenders, engine,no front bumper, grille, suspension, and 5 gallon fuel tank everything else was ripped out to save on weight. I hope to find one some day and surprise pops with it. I just want to build it with a duramax diesel this go around to be different. All it takes is money and dreams, got the dreams covered just need the other part now.

Those were pretty cool cars.
