This 9 from last year went 126" which puts the one from this year at least 130" just cause the g4 length

I enjoy seeing what everyone says about scores. They're my favorite threads on here.

Help me see where I went wrong here.

Frame 95
G1's 4 each = 8
2's 7/8= 15
3's 6/6= 12
Single 4...=4

Total 134

We're usually closer on our scores. Did I give him too much frame or tines?

95" of frame hammer did you fall and bump your head? grin I used 83-86" of frame depending beams and 41-43" of tines to get upper 120's. But I have been wrong before will be wrong again cheers

I must really be off on mass, beam length looks decent to me. Didn't really notice he's still in velvet in first pic until now but that's still way off. I don't know. Weird how different people see different measurements and still get close to same score sometimes. I've noticed before on wee man's score we'll have different frame and or tine length and still be close to eachothers guess.

Yes to answer your question I fall and hit my head regularly, usually not an issue issue with the helmet I wear. Was late today and forgot helmet, and crayons.

I took into consideration the area of the state on body size of that buck also. If he is bigger bodied than I think then he will closer to you guys scores. I like to underscore most of the time so that the buck grows on the ground. I hate ground shrinkage crazy
I fall some too, but I don't bounce very well anymore. I will have to look into that helmet deal... grin

Low to mid 120's. Nice buck. IMO in that one pic he looks older than 3.5. Got another pic of him?

The velvet adds the appearance of more mass than really there.

This buck doesn't have much mass, I've seen him several times in person at 20 yards.

Lot of muscling and width in the brisket and front shoulders in that pic. I would call him 4 but a relaxed side view of him standing would be the best. Still not mature. Pics out of velvet this time of the year will show his age much better.

Couple "Hi Potential" bucks there. Probably have the genetics to hit 150/160 class around age 5.5 to 6.5 (may even higher). First buck is fighting to hit 130 with the long eye guards, G2's and G3's. Again, if you are wanting "Wall Hanger", they should be there in 2 to 3 years!

Lee County is not known for producing 150+ deer even with AR's in place at any age. There was only one buck entered in TBGA and he was a low 130's gross and net, not sure on the age. TBGA has a net typical score of 125 to qualify in that region. Those deer are generally very small bodied in that region of the state also. I agree that they might have the genetics to hit 150's in that county but just very few deer are killed that big on LF areas. In that area of the state a mature 140+ gross is consider a trophy by the local coops.

Agreed, we will be making huge strides if this buck hits 130.

Our area of the county probably produces some of the smallest bucks on top of it.

We are getting there though. Have a lot of good potential bucks on the two properties that are managed. Right at 5k acres. Still not big enough area to grow giant on low fence though.
