Heart. trim the cap off, slice it thin and fry. I soak it in milk to pull some of the blood out. It does have an iron taste but I LOVE it!!!

What he said, but I wrap in bacon. MMMM, good stuff. You can actually unroll the heart and end up with a thin peice of meat that is fairly big. Cut out all the peices that aint meat, and batter and fry, then wrap with bacon and place in oven.

Heart and eggs for breakfast, hard to beat, just roll heart in flour and fry like you would chicken fry. Liver is great with sauted onions and gravy. slice about 3/8 in thick. roll in flour just like chicken fry and cook till its done but don't over cook it, its done when the pink is gone from the middle of the slice. i use just about 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in my milk on all my wild game.

Maggie, I'm curious why you don't eat the kidneys. Have you tried them and didn't like them, or just haven't tried them?

Deer heart is hard to beat. Some of the best meat on one. Cut out ventricles, slice it thin, and eat with eggs. YUM!

I've eaten the heart and liver many times, they're fine eating.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
