I thought that I had heard or read that the ak mag would work in ar's, tried it this morning and it ran like a champ, it's an armalite upper 7.62x39 on a rockriver receiver

AK mags definitely do not work in a standard AR lower. Was that an LAR-47 lower? If so -- yes, that's the entire point behind them.

Rock river makes an AR lower that is cut to recieve the ak mags. Bside has it right, tha LAR-47.

Some Special ops guys over in the sand box are using a lower receiver that accepts the mags. I wuldnt think they would be available to the civilian market

you are correct, my bad, when I went back to check I saw that I had picked up the asc, thought I had picked up a china made
