Does anyone know if Walmart carries dove decoys in the stores? i haven't seen any (even before dove season) in the stores in the Houston area... Most of the stores don't have much hunting stuff.
or does anyone know of the best places to buy the Expedite clip ons (now luck duck) or even the mojo dove clip-ons?
Walmart used to sell them at a good price $2 each.
bass pro and cabelas have nil...
Thanks

I bought mine there at the Denton store on University. They worked great this season when we had birds. Had dove land on the fence next to them and on the ground with them as well.

Carter's Country had the mojo clip ons at the start of the season for a decent price. Might be worth at least a call.

You might be able to buy them at WalMart online too. Here is the brand they had when I bought mine. http://ads.midwayusa.com/product/240477/...-_-pf_ci_google It was 6 decoys and Walmarts price was like $12. Lucky Duck name brand

Forgive me I grew up in Iowa where there is no dove season, so I've hunted them once. Do decoys bring high flying doves down if you're on a flyway or are they used better in the feeding field or watering holes? Hunted a flyway this year between water and roost on public, and it was a toss up if the flocks were higher or lower than 50 yds...

I'd buy the lucky duck ones if you have the option, between those and the mojo. I bought the Mojo clip ons from Cabelas ($10/4) and absolutely hate the clips.

jdk1985,
Thanks for the info. I see what you mean on the Mojos because of the clips.
I know I can get the lucky duck or Edge ones direct from luckyduck, but I was looking to try to save money money. They are astronomical on their shipping for 6 packs.

Hunted a flyway this year between water and roost on public, and it was a toss up if the flocks were higher or lower than 50 yds... I frequently hunt a pasture in a flyway between roosting and feeding area. I will place 30 to 40 decoys on a barbed wire fence and several more in a small dead mesquite tree. The majority won't land but a fair number veer over to check out what is going on. Granted, it takes me 3 times longer to limit. It is tougher than hunting over water due to birds flying faster and higher.
Searching the world over for the perfect Chile Relleno.

We have them here. If I find myself at the store I will get some pics for you. I have some pics now but you can't really make much out.
