I'm using a crossbow on hogs this year. At least on the first one anyway. $10 for a broad head and $5 for the arrow make ammo look cheap!!!! grin

I'll probly get laughed at, but this old Savage 110E in 243 has been my go to rifle for 20 yrs. It has killed hundreds of pigs, along with a lot of deer, yotes, cats, a few exotics....it's old, ugly, rides with me in the truck or on the buggy or 4 wheeler...she's not much to look at but is dependable. Not a super tack driver but head shoots just fine up to my typical range of 150 yrds. The only reason that I still hunt with this gun is because I bought it with my Dad. I have other rifles that I shoot pigs with but this one is always with me and ready to go. I'll probly shoot another pig with it tomorrow evening if I'm not shooting birds.

Got this one set up a few years ago, it's a pig smacker in 223 and has I don't know how many pigs under it's belt.

Crossbows are addictive and fun to shoot. I still haven't killed a deer with mine, could have plenty of times but passed them all waiting on the hoss to show. Do love popping pigs though....lots of fun.

it depends on how I'm hunting. If I am walking very far it will not be the 45-70 rolling block that thing is heavy.

This is my hog popper I built. 6.8 SPC with an SWFA SS HD 1-4x24 with illuminated reticle, and a Hogzilla light.

For kicks I was thinking about taking this one next time. Vepr 12 gauge with a Burris Fastfire II. It's surprisingly accurate with rifled slugs at 50-100 yards.
