Savage 16, I bought one in .308 off an individual on here and I just rebarrled it to a 6.5 Creedmoor. Buy the Savage, shoot out the barrel, then buy a new barrel in any s/a caliber you want, all gunsmithing can be done on your own.

Plus, the accutrigger is great, out of the box accuracy is outstanding, and Savage customer service is some of the best in the industry.

Savage every day and twice on Sunday!

Have multiple calibers in both. If you think that you would want to look at changing the barrel or modifying the caliber in the future I would go with Savage since they have the barrel nut and its easy to do yourself. Finding a gunsmith to do any work on a Browning is a pain in the neck. When I wildcatted my 270wsm it was incredibly challenging to find someone willing to change the barrel.

If you are just looking for a gun to hunt with and you will not be making modifications I say Abolt all the way. The fit and finish is much better than the Savage and the Abolt has by far the smoothest action out of a factory rifle that I have fired. I have a timney trigger spring that cost 20 bucks I think and the trigger is right at 3 pounds. I prefer this trigger significantly over the Accutrigger. The Abolts were just as accurate if not more so than the savage

If has the accutrigger and accustock then you are set. The accustock is awesome, don't even need to bed the stock.

I have never owned one, but have heard/read nothing but good about the Accustock models. They typically shoot well under an 1". I would go with the Savage for sure; it should be more accurate and as already mentioned, easier to rebarrel later.
