Rolling Northwest on 287 headed towards Dalhart, Tx for my first speed goat.
Gonna spend tomorrow scouting and shooting Prairie Dogs then Friday-Sunday after a 80"
Goat.

3 of us headed up for this hunt tools brought on this hunt include
300 rum, 300 wsm, 7mm, 6.5x47, 2-22-250, 257 weatherby, .243, .223, and a 300 wm.

Should be a fun hunt with lots of ammo being shot.

I will post video and pictures daily.

Live to hunt, forced to work!

Good luck. You're using ranch tags, correct?

I've seen lots of antelope up around the grassland. I'm talking groups of twenty or more.

Good luck. They are a lot of fun to hunt. I love spotting animals from a distance and sneaking up on them!!!

Interesting, just looked up how to score one. It looks like the length of the prong is measured from the back of the beam, not the top, like a whitetail?

Oh, and 96 or bust, fellas! Good luck!

I had to learn how to score a pronghorn when taking the TBGA scoring class. If I had to score one now I would have to get my book out to review exactly how to score one again. IIRC the prong is measured from the exact middle of the beam in the back.

I got the urge to kill one about 9 yrs ago now. Been on the back burner for a while since I have been going to Kansas and been hunting Mule Deer in West Texas for the last 7 yrs now. But might just have to do that cheers
