So, I just snapped that opening day is the day after halloween. Which totally sucks. I hunt public almost exclusively and was hoping to get out there early friday afternoon to make sure I was in line for a good spot(First come, first served).

But I know without a doubt that I will be expected to be with the family Halloween night. It's a major dilema. Looks like I'll probably have to settle for the lesser spots. Oh well, maybe a lot of other will have the same problem...

If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready!

trick or treat in the line for a good spot. Take the family. I predict nothing but fun all the way around!

Atleast you get to hunt. I have a work training from Nov 1st-4th. Get up early for a 4 hour drive prior to the training, so it will feel like im getting up to go hunting, without the enjoyment of hunting.

GE construction is building us a blind made out of straw. Should be interesting? I'm bringing my layout.

Just get up late and go boom scout. Can't be bothered with public on open morning, that is why I got my lease.

You guys are going to miss all the fun. Opening day on public can be a circus for sure depending on where you choose to hunt, just part of the fun watching everyone.
Can't wait, and yes I am in the same boat as everyone else, my wife has decided to have a Halloween party so no sleep for me either.
