It was awesome! Limited out in less than 2 hours. It was the most fun I have had in years. Beautiful weather, coveys of doves, great friends ...on only a half day evening hunt.

Good times.

Saw a lot of dove on Sunday morning when I was sitting in my pop up blind in Glen Rose. We're just west of town on 67

WOW!...I really envy you Texans. I live in NW Florida just outside Pensacola and it's extremely hard to find a good dove shoot these days. About 60 years ago we had great dove hunting in the Florida panhandle but over time the flyways shifted more to the west and we are now in a dead zone. I was talking to my sons about the possibility of finding a really good dove hunting camp that wouldn't break the bank and try to come out for a week or two next year. The farther East would make things much more practical for us. I could possibility fly out which would be quicker if the camp was close by a small airstrip. Any of you guys have any suggestions?

While I'm dreaming, I wish you guys a great season!

Wow you had an opposite dove trip then! We are west of town on 67 across from Rough Creek! We didn't have many dove but our lakes were loaded with teal. There were more teal on the lake than we had seen during the actual season (around 200-300). Im glad to know that more people hunt in Glen Rose now! Thought I was the only one
