Shooting a old SBE2. Should I get the new SBE2 or the waterfowler model?

What do you mean old / new SBE II? Do you mean old SBE, and new SBE II? Then, vs. the Waterfowl edition of the SBE II?
The Waterfowl edition of the SBE II is, if I understand correctly, just a hand fit SBE II. Right?

My SBE is about 15yrs old. It is a little tired but still old reliable. Just thinking about a little upgrade. Someone has told me about the waterfowl model. Is it worth the extra money?

There is an SBE II Performance Shop Waterfowl edition. Looked at it but couldn't figure out why I'd pay $800 more than a Super Vinci. Went with the SV.

I can't see why the performance shop model would cost that much more than the normal SBE II. If it were me, I'd just buy the SBE II and get to killing ducks!

I've got an old 1978 1100 and a new Super Vinci. I take the Vinci in the nasty stuff and then 1100 when I'm not getting dirty. The Super Vinci is awesome but I still shoot better with my 1100. I love them both.

The duck gun I would buy next is the Browning Maxus. It just feels great.

I can't guarantee that you'll kill more birds but if you get a Browning Cynergy you will look much cooler while hunting.

If not shooting 3.5 loads- I would go beretta a300- it's my utility auto - old 391. For 700 bucks and a beretta- it's an absolute steal. Shot about 500 rounds thru mine- primarily Cleveland feather lights - never a drop of oil or cleaned it- flawless.
For 3.5 loads I love versamax. It's flawless as well. Not Remington fan- but have had just about every high end auto on market. Don't like fit of fore end- very loose- but outside of that- mechanically it's a machine- and very little recoil w bruiser loads

I second greekangler. I have a 391 & it's bulletproof. If you're stuck on Benelli, just get the Super Vinci. Way less $ & it's a heck of a waterfowl gun.
Cigarettes are like hamsters. Perfectly harmless til you put it in your mouth & light it on fire
