Moved my deer blind and ladder stand to a new place on the lease and was walking around the area around my feeder and not 20 feet away found a persimmon tree with fruit on the lower branches. Might be the little thing I need this year to get them to come in.

Had 2 does and a fawn run thru opening day. Didn't know which doe the fawn belonged to, so they got a pass.

I don't have any experience with persimmon trees.... Do deer eat persimmon? Good luck on your new setup.

I have always heard it is a good draw for deer. Soft fruit or apples either one. Just never found any wild fruit around one of my set-ups.
