That is mind blowing. I drive a Ford ranger with a 4cyl. and I spend $600 a month on gas.

Wow, & yes sir that's what I was getting at. Our Wardens are spread thin, they always have been, but I had no idea about the gas budget. This makes no since at all.

Rick Perry's taking of $120 million dollars from the unemployment insurance fund, $50 million of which was diverted to his alma mater, Texas A-M, would sure buy a lot of gasoline for our peace officers. confused2

No fuel for a position that requires driving. confused2
$350 gives about $11.66 a day for gas. They can barely make a single run across a county, and good luck getting back. I couldn't even get to work.
They are going to be sitting around a lot, that sounds like a bad use of tax dollars.

Where does our License fee money go? General fund to be siphoned off and given to campaign donors of the Governors, such as the 'Emerging technologies fund' and 'Texas enterprise fund', Which have proven to be failures and are nothing more than a personal 'slush fund' for Perry.

This really gets under my skin. When I think of all the losers collecting money and not working for it, I'm not surprised this is what we've come to.

I've had two different people through my office over the last month that have 1 million dollars in liquid assets that are not working and haven't been for several years. They keep their income threshold low enough to qualify for a $700 a month stipend they receive monthly to pay for their Obama Care.

Before I get bashed for blasphemy, Rick Perry has never given a rats behind about TPWD or Texas sportsmen. Words are just that. Look at his record regarding taking money from sportsmen and diverting it to his 'pet projects', AKA campaign donors.

Well my GW buddy just got back with me. Yep, they surely have a tight fuel budget. When they hit their cap on fuel they have to borrow money or fuel from someone or somewhere else to gas up, or sit on their hands. He's even had to siphon gas out of his boat to put in his truck so he can drive. Said all of this crap started a few years ago. This really bothers me. How can this be possible in Texas??? Other LEO's in this state don't have to worry about this. What a bunch of CRAP! They already don't get paid much and now this? Wow.

Wow , I just did some fuzzy math for DFW suburb city I work at on a guesstimated average of 16 gallons a day at $3.20 for 30 days a month and came up with over $1500 a month! Sometimes we will have 10-15 units going
I never thought they would be that low

So if I was a poacher, I would do it at the end of the month and hope they don't have any fuel to look for me, just like the OP problem, HMMM.

Sounds like it D. Disgusting, to say the least. The politicians of this state are some of the most corrupt in the U.S. Next to Illinois or New Jersey.

Your congressman for starters. I am going to email TP&W and find out who they would recommend on contacting.
