Well took me seven hunts and passing a lot of does and spikes. but I finally outsmarted my Buck. It wasn't easy but this year I was prepared for them and set an extra stand in some oaks were acorns are a plenty. And this morning he passed by just at I knew he would at 35 yards. I stopped him with a MAHHH sound and let the arrow fly. As the arrow was inflight he tried to turn and run but he wasn't quick enough....... Meat is in the freezer. My kids are batting next with the crossbow. And I FINALLY got that itchy trigger finger takin care of for now.... But not long.... "AnytimeOutdoors" God I love deer season!!! This was an old wise buck. He had no teeth left. He was a worth adversary. And a archery trophy in my book.

Thanks fellas. I can't tell I how good it felt to finally squeeze the trigger. I've been watching does and cull bucks all weekend. This guy blew one of my stands Saturday after swirling wind for me. Now every deer that comes out there stares at the tripod. Lol I picked this buck last month and started watchin him did my homework. And it payed of. He passed by on the trail I new he came in on. And at 945 am I got my shot. there moving late browsing acorns all day in my neck of the woods.

The gloves must be worn. I have a bad allergic reaction with the oil on the fur that makes deer hide waterproof. I break out and swell can't breath. So Benadryl and gloves are first thing I do after I fill out my tag and move the carcass to start the processing which I do all myself. I was born with this allergic relation and i still haven't outgrown it. It's never kept me away from shooting deer my whole life and never will

Never heard of someone being allergic to deer and never thought about it until now. Guess it is no different than being allergic to a dog. Glad it hasn't slowed you down and thanks for sharing

My guess is 7 1/2+. I've seen him for 3 years but he always disappears till deer season is over. He was in my back yard browsing prisimon Berrys all summer. He had a great group of upcoming young bucks he hangs with. They all need a couple more years. Il be watching them Grow.

Congrats on a great buck. Nothing like picking out one buck and going after him. I have a friend who is also allergic to deer like you are. He loves to hunt but just has to take precautions like you do.

Good job. I have a friend that is an awesome outdoors-man, but he is so allergic to deer that his eyes will swell up so bad that he cannot see. I have to field dress deer for him.

That's what happens to me watery itchy eyes swelling face. It sucks. I have to watch for flying hair when skinning. A hair in the eye can be horrible Benadryl or not.
