I'm gonna order me a 2105 ranger crew this week. Going with the 900 in camo with power steering. I don't really want to fool with a bunch of aftermarket stuff. What options should I get on it from the dealer? I'm pretty sure I want a windshield, roof and winch. Anything else you guys would recommend?

Front and rear windshield will help out in the winter. Stereo sytem is easy enough to put in yourself. Good choice!

Winch. Windshield. Roof. That's about all I can think of that would be a necessity.

I had my own homemade roof and bought a half windshield from Cabelas for uner $100 shipped. I have not been in many situations in the past 10 or so years where I need a winch. When I did there was not a tree close enough that the winch cable would reach a couple of times.

If it is going to be a hunt mobile I would recommend a gun rack/boot to protect your rifle during bad weather. I built my own.

I use pelican cases and I mostly bow hunt or use AR's so the polaris type gun boots don't work for me.

Not to bust your chops, but if proper equipment was used I would guess you like have found a tree within range. You should always carry a tow strap, piece of chain, at least 1 but better to have 2 snatch blocks, and a few D rings. This is the biggest fail I we whn off roading, people buy the winch but none of the necessary items to properly use the winch, my guess is because nobody ever sees them and the winch is mainly for looks, kind of like why people lift their vehicle but don't pay the money for proper gears.

Just got a 15 crew with a fortress roof and 3 inch lift with bigger tires. The 900 is about 1 1/2 inches lower than the 800 so it drags a bit on our roads. Lifted my father in laws 15 crew 2 inches this weekend for that very reason. Will put a winch on mine soon just because I hate strapping it down and miss the winch for hauling on a trailer. My son can't see over the front basket so it will be off this week.

I would suggest upgrading the boot guards/stick stoppers. Also I would upgrade the lights because the stock lights are a little weak. Outside of that a winch and a roof. If you can get a metal roof that is a plus because you can stand on it and haul corn on top. I put 300 pounds of corn on top of my roof while also standing on it which would be around 500 pounds and it never acted like it was to much weight.
I want it to party in my mouth.

This was a work vehicle. Been stuck when I would have had to plant a tree to pull from. One time it took all the winch cable, chain and rope I had in the Mule and it was still not enough to reach the closest tree. I am not off roading but working. That one time happened while checking water gaps after a flooding rain and I knew the road along the fenceline would have led to me getting stuck. I took off across some grass and higher ground. My thinking it would be firmer ground was my mistake. I don't buy or use a UTV for looks. Don't have a lift kit and don't have a winch on my current UTV.

I also went back and added a two inch lift and wheel spacers for the reasons above. That two inches does make a difference.

The roof, lift, Kevlar tires (if u have lots of mesquite), led lights, winch (when you need it, you'll appreciate it!), quick detach windshields, raised bed seats/high rack - worth it if you ever run with more tan 5 people or you want to hunt from up there.

Those kevlar tires might be worth looking into.

Check out www.BigCountryOutdoors.net - these guys are awesome to work with, and they've got just about everything you could ever ask for to upgrade your Polaris. They can ship stuff out to you, depending on what you are looking to get. Worth contacting them if you find something you like. They transformed the areas under the front seat cushions (open cargo space) into road/corn feeders....press a button while driving and it spits it out under the Polaris. Freaking awesome! They've got all sorts of cool add-ons. And I swear by the kevlar tires I got from them! Had my Ranger for almost 10 months, and the tires are tanks - no problems running over mesquite, going over brush. Worth every penny! Also, upgraded to an Optima Battery - they are solid! Optima Battery Website Enjoy!!!

If you don't have a tree close by to use your winch, use a long steak and a sledge.

If you don't have a tree close by to use your winch, use a long steak and a sledge. Picket line. Three pieces of cold roll as long as the bed will hold, two half as long, and some flat webbing. Properly built it is a hell of an anchor. We once built a larger version, built a rope haul system and pulled a 60,000 pound Heavy Rescue up a slight incline on pavement.
