No just been at work for an hour...too quite early in the morning so I had to say some goofy stuff to amuze myself. I'd say in that aim I succeeded.

I'm pretty interested to see how all this goes down this weekend. I'm mostly looking forward to the goose hunting...which was my main reason for wanting to come other than meeting fellow forum members. I know there are snows in the area but have no clue if Allen has any.

I'll be jealous if you get on a bunch of geese

with 75k acres you would think there would have to be some geese somewhere...maybe I'll skip the dinner party my wife has planned

Yea, I did intend my pm to read/ put it in a way that I was willing to take the spot if you had no takers and it meant losing your deposit. I would have paid full price. Had nothing special going, a little money left in this seasons hunting budget, and diesel is down. So could have helped you out, but I have been burning both ends of the candle lately between work and hunting, so it is for the best for me that it slipped pass. I really did not need to go, but I am sure would have been fun if I did, if that makes any sense.

Well I probably won't be posting much so I guess I'll see everyone this evening. I'm going to try to take off from Temple around 330 which should get me there by or before 5.

maybe you can use your fancy phone and make posts from the field/lodge to let us know how the hunts are going?

I'm probably not going to get there till a little later now. Heading out of work around 12:30, then home to pack... hopefully out the door by 1:15. I have to go down south to make a trade for a gun and then drive back up but hope to be there by 6-6:30. Looking forward to meeting you guys then.

They are all dead..From Marcstar in the bathroom!!!!

We would have liked to have shot more birds, but I think everyone had a good time.

I did not get down there till Saturday afternoon, just in time to join the THF crew for dinner and drinks. We did a BBQ and cooked up some steaks, duck, and pheasant that was shot that day. I did not try the pheasant, but I did try some bacon wrapped duck Marc cooked up and that was done to perfection!!

It was good time for me, I enjoyed meeting the members ..

It was a pleasure meeting the rest of the guys from THF. We managed to put my group on a few ducks and piched up pheaseants as well. Great dog work.. The best part of the weekend was that every one had fun.
