What would you folks think about a company that sells AR Kits, charges your credit card and then claim they can't fill the order for 60 business days because they are out of bolts?
Not really all that bad is it, considering the rush to buy that the industry is experiencing.
Now what if you just happened to be on GunBroker and found this very same company offering over a dozen complete kits for sale ready to ship in 7 days, even though they had already claimed to you that they were in a back order situation and could not ship your order.
What would be your opinion?

Already canceled my order. I won't give my money to a company that does business that way.
My way of thinking is if you have complete kits to sell on gunbroker, you should probably be filling orders of pre-paid customers first. No excuses.
I'm sure it would be pretty easy to figure out who by looking on gunbroker.

This is one reason if I ever spend over 100 bucks online I will call my order in and talk to them personally. Plus it helps to talk and try to get any discounts you might not see online. Military/nra/civil service etc etc.

That's exactly what I did. Called the order in. I was told 2 weeks for delivery. After 3 weeks had passed and I was unable to get any response from them (phone and email) I noticed they had updated there web site to 30 working days if you had ordered before Nov. 12, 2008.
Day after Christmas I finally got a somewhat terse email response indicating that they expected orders to be 60 working days but they could not promise any specific delivery time. That is when I canceled the order and started surfing GunBroker.
Anyone who want's to know who it is can find out by going to GunBroker. There's only two people offering "AR 15 Uppers" and one of those is not a business.

I went to the Dallas Market Hall gun show this morning and bought a complete upper. Took it home with me. It's a Rock River Arms 20" free floating bull barrel with BCG.
After checking more closely, I think the price at the gun show was higher than direct from RRA. But, it was in stock at the show and not in stock at RRA website.

I attended the show last Sat. The line was unbelievable. While standing in line I saw several people walking out with AR uppers stacked like cord wood in their arms. If you were interested in buying anything pertaining to an AR you had to wait. I just wanted a free floating forearm and finally gave up because the dealers were more interested in selling uppers and lowers. There were plenty there. There were even individuals trying to sell their ARs and asked one guy what he wanted for his M4 version and he wanted as much as what dealers were asking. This is getting crazy.
