Lake X is the lowest I've ever seen it. What is the law of driving dry lake bed to a hunting setup as I don't have a boat?

If it's a COE lake, don't do it unless you want a fat ticket.

Kinda funny, last year while walking in I thought, man that headlamp seems bright, until I realized it was 2 guys in a truck driving out in the middle of the lakebed. When I called the coe with license plate number they didn't seem too concerned. I have duck hunted the Midwest for 15 or so years before moving to texas, and have never seen so many rules blatently violated, with no follow up from enforcement officials. soap I know.

That being said, please don't drive on the lake bed smile

If you cant afford a 250 dolla ticket don't do it. Ive also seen trucks stuck for 3 months over here in north texas. But you are gonna get passed by 4 wheelers if you are walking in This Year!!!when I got my speech about corp property. the sheriff who is my neighbor,If the environmentalist get involved they can get a stuck truck for oil contaminants etc, for up to 10K......Hes seen it happen. "as he drove down to the lake on his Gator" LOL

A certain lake while I was in high school poured gravel to a certain spot so you didn't have to walk so far, they also bailed hay during the summer in the lake bed. A group of guys decided to get off the gravel drive way too far out and buried their truck. The next weekend there was signs everywhere saying no driving on lake bed and put a chain across the boat ramp that accessed the gravel road. I used a four wheeler one time and got a ticket along with others, we were not mudding, playing around or anything just riding to our spot. The warden that wrote us a ticket was also on a four wheeler and when he left our group he got off path heading to another group with a atv and got stuck it was kinda funny, he was covered in mud and well we left figured he deserved it

I don't know if you can legally hunt it in its current condition. Gotta be 600'from a residence and there's not alot of water left. The mud is pretty nasty, we were out there about a month ago and I sunk to my waist and had to get lane to pull me out. Its bad, makes me sick when I see it.

I can't read, I've been driving down there to put the boat in since it started getting low. They run all over it on atvs. I also have seen pics of trucks that tried to drive across the dry bed and didn't make it, several of them.

Your always welcome to come hunt with us, anytime just let us know
