need some input on where you think the best place is to hunt snows in the conservation season. last year we went dont to rice field on the Texas coast and had 2 great hunts. we will probably end up going back there unless someone knows a better area. my group is willing to travel to Louisiana, Arkansas or Missouri. we just want to be in the birds

Ark . Mo. Ne. With weather pattern of the last few years Arkansas has had some of the most consistent shoots and less pressure .

Arkansas. No one hunts snow geese there, so they have little pressure. Plus there are millions and millions of them.

Ice storm this year resulted in lots of cancelled hunts like me since there was no way getting there for 2 straight weeks. Jonesboro area is money. Try thirdcoastoutfitters I wouldnt say no one hunts them there, lots of outfitters there and they do hunt them there, just a lil less compared to houston area.

Man...I'm from North East Arkansas and I can tell you it's mind boggling. Not many people hunt them and there are literally hundreds of thousands. That said, I've heard some good things about Missouri as well. Googled it and this came up: http://www.duxmenoutfitters.com/Snow_Geese_Packages.htmlhttp://www.snowgoosemadness.com/My home town. Don't know those guys but there are plenty of similar outfits in the area. If I were paying for snows, this is the area I would hunt. It's where I hunt public in Arkansas.

Part of the problem on our trip to Missouri was the 4 inches of snow on thr ground. It is hard to decoy white geese with white decoys on a white field when they are jetliner high.
I am going back next year.
