I took this boar with the Six8 razorback he was alone and working his way along a fence line rooting as he went. He was slightly angled towards me but facing away with a small tree covering part of his neck and head. While waiting for him to turn broadside the idea of shooting through the small tree just to see what the 6.8 120 grain SST would do. So I took aim on the tree and shot. I am actually amazed at how easily a 308/7.62 Nato round will blast through large diameter trees.

I get about equivalent velocities from my 120gr 16" 6.8 hand loads as I do 168gr from my 20" 308win rock river. Granted I am not shooting quite max loads in the 308 but still shows plenty potency in the 6.8 . I am really taking a liking to the round.

Nice video. Learned something for sure. Won't be so hesitant to pull the trigger hog hunting in brush with my 6.8 now.

Using google earth a little over 70 yards for the hog, 222 yards for the coyotes.

I shoot a 6.8 SPC II. My hunting partner shoots a 308. I have not seen any major differences in performance and after carrying them a few hours, I am a firm believer that the 6.8 is the way to go.
My family and I would like to thank every soldier (active or inactive) for their service to this Great Country!
