I look long and hard for shooting glasses. I require prescriptions, and I need bifocals. I wanted to be able to switch in and out different lenses easily, I wanted yellow for night (sitting in the blind before sun-up, or for cloudy days), and dark for the sun. And I did not want a bulky second pair of lenses to carry. Switch Vision was the ticket.. The lenses pop in and out easy, because they are magnetic. http://www.switchvision.com/default.aspNote the small bifocal area, this is much better than progressive lenses where only the center of the lenses is focused.

Anybody use costas? Whats the best color lense for all around hunting/fishin (n.tx muddy water)/wingshooting? Glass or plastic lens? This could have gone in hunting gear, but I want to know more specifically what works for the waterfowlers and dub hunters. If you are going to hunt with them always wear plastic never ever wear glass.

My wifw is getting me some if I don't take any dips by Christmas... Id just have to go get some $10 shades from walmart lol After 33 years of being hooked on tobacco of one form or another, I am happy to report, NO LONGER!!!!! May 22,2013 was the first day of the rest of my life. I can't give advise on how and why, as I truly believe I received some divine intervention. I was so hooked I would wake in the night, not even realize I was taking a monster chomp of copenhagen and going back to sleep. Sleeping with snuff in my mouth, WTF, who does that? Been 14 months for me after 29 years of using skoal/cigs. I feel good.

I wear green mirror 580G lenses for my main pair of Costas. I am ordering a new pair with the blue mirror 580G for the brighter days.

If you are wanting them for strictly hunting and fishing get 580p lenses in amber. That color also is awesome for driving in rain.

Leaning toward the 580g. Not sure what color.

I have 3 pair.......amber 580p's for hunting/shoothing, gray 580p's for every day, and blue 580g's for fishing. I'm about to sell the 580g's and go to the plastic with a different frame. Every day wear are not going to be good for shooting unless it's bright outside. the 580p's are much better than the 580g's unless you don't take care of your stuff and are worried about scratching them. However, I wouldn't shoot with the glass lens either way.

The abmer lenses will give you the best color contrast and makeseverything "pop". The only negative with them is they are a little too light on really bright days.

I like amber too. I spend a lot of time sight fishing and it's about the best color for that, and like people said, driving in the rain. They really aren't dark enough on those super bright cloudless days but since I couldn't afford 2 pair of prescription sunglasses I chose amber, matches what I do more often.

I use amber 580p for hunting/fishing and gray 580p for everyday wear.

I'm a costa dealer, green are for dirty fresh water, blue are for salt water. I like the ambers for hunting and greys for everyday.

i like my fathoms with 580g green mirror lenses. they seem to have an amber coating on the inside that really brightens up the day. even on cloudy rainy days they work well. like em so much i have 3 pairs.
