Gonna be duck hunting for the very first time this year and was curious as to where some of the best duck hunting is near san antonio. Within an hour to three hours away?

I'd like to know also. If you live in the San Antonio area what types of ducks do you commonly shoot? Has anyone been seeing teal? Going to scout a spot this week before the opener but wanted to see what everyone's seeing.

The coast will be the closest place. I joined a Waterfowl club in Eagle Lake to duck hunt.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

For those of us here in the SA area, most of us do our duck hunting at Choke Canyon. There is no public land here in Bexar County that allows duck hunting...dove hunting yes but no duck hunting. Choke Canyon is about 85 miles south of town. Use 37 south and get off at the exit to Peggy. Turn right and drive till you see the water. If not there, you'll either have to get on a lease or drive to the coast. If you want to talk about it, feel free to PM me.

Why the hell should I have to press 1 for English!!??
