I know that there are several other threads concerning DFW gunsmith recommendations - but most are for specific types of work. I am interested in finding a good gunsmith in the Dallas area that can take a factory barreled action and do some minor inlet work to fit a Boyd's gun stock.....along with proper bedding. If possible without breaking the bank, I would prefer (instead of the factory barreled action) to locate a donor action and buy a decent barrel and have the necessary work done to fit Boyd's stock. Any recommendations in the Dallas area would be appreciated.

Find Larry Pockrus in Ponder, up around Argyle & Denton right up his alley.

Larry Pockrus did some work on a 1911 for me a few years ago, it was very poorly done.

You can find better.
