Hint - it's in my garage on the other side of my Gator. It was raining, garage door was open. It's not a copperhead or a rattlesnake so it gets a pass. Pretty big though, about 4-5 feet.

Had one crawl into my shop the other day. It went behind one of my storage cabinets. Pulled the cabinet away from the wall and no snake! Upon closer inspection it had slithered between the insulation and the wall, with only a few inches of his tail showing. I grabbed the tail and like pulling a earthworm from its hole I was able to remove all four feet of rat snake. I walked over to the woods and released it.

The rat snake is still in my garage over 24 hours later. I left the door open all night but the snake stayed. There were two small spiny lizards in the garage before the snake moved in, and they seem to be gone. Nothing against the snake but I wish it would live somewhere else. BTW, if you irritate a rat snake they put out a smelly defense.

I might relocate that guy for his own safety. Nothing smellier than dead snake that crawls up in the engine bay and gets baked onto your exhaust manifold.

Not sure what he is, but I don't think he's a rat snake. Either way, he's a good one.
