I have my grandfathers 22, and 12 guage. I also have a 1944 Remington Rand in beautiful condition. I just got a PM9, and I think it will be a keeper. In a perfect world, I would never sell, or trade a gun, but I am not a wealthy man, so sometimes I have to make painful compromises. I see so many posts about appreciation for certain guns, but I know everyone has those guns that they will never let go, unless it's willed away.
This can be guns that you already have, or guns that you want. Please join in, I want to see if I can consolidate my wish list, and think this may help. I just want too many guns.

I have a 94 Winchester wrangler in .44 mag that will probably be the last to go.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

My list of I will never sell guns used to be longer, but recent economic times made my "never sell" list shorter.
In order of importance: 1. Colt 1903 - used to belong to my Grandfather. I have actually thought about having this one completely restored. 2. Remington 11-87 - This one is technically not mine yet, and I hope it will not be mine for a very long time to come. My Grandfather liked to dove and quail hunt, and I really enjoy borrowing this gun for at least one dove hunt a year. 3. Ruger Blackhawk. - One of the first guns I ever bought. This one has been carried and used a lot. It shows a TON of holster wear, and has killed more pigs than all my other weapons combined. 4. Old Stevens .410 - First gun that was ever passed down to me, and will eventually be passed down to my boy.
I have other guns on my currently won't sell list, but this is my "never sell" list.

Browning "Sweet 16" that my Father-in-Law owned before passing. Old Ruger 77 .270 that my dad gave to the grand-kids to use. Winchester 290 lever gun also for the grand-kids All the rest can be yours.

Any gun that was passed down to me or given as a gift, there are too many to list. Any gun that I bought is always on the chopping block to make room for something else

Well lets see: .22 rifle,12 gauge shot gun that my granddad gave me,with his DL# on them.($ value maybe $150 but to me PRICELESS!) 44-40 Colt that was my dads, and a few old S&Ws that I have had for years, AND my "old" early Glock 19, that I have had "on" me for a long time. The kids can do what they want with them, when I'm done.

Pretty much all of mine won't go anywhere except maybe a shotgun or two that have been purchased recently.

Of the "few" I have, the only guns I will never sell is my Beretta A390 Gold Sport worked over by Ballistic Specialties...and anything I have gone through the trouble of getting a tax stamp for.

I could easily sell any of the guns I have purchased myself. None of the ones gifted to me will ever be sold.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

There are only 2 that immediately come to mind...and ya'll will possibly find these a little strange.
The only hand me down I have is a beat up pre war Stephens 20 guage single shot, that pre dates Serial Numbers. It was my mother's father's "car gun" and literally came out from underneath his front seat of the Farm Car when he gave it to my new wife. It had a badly cracked butt stock, missing the butt plate and was filthy. I pried the crack open enough to fill it with glue, sanded it down and refinished it with 6 coats of TruOil, steel wooled the skim of rust off of it & put a Pachmyer white line vented pad on it, fixed the missing chip beside the tang with a piece of pine & a nail, had a gunsmith cut & re crown it while opening the choke up ...in 1968. It serves as HER beside the bed gun when I am out of town. She can shoot it one handed too with AA Skeet 9's.
The other Keeper is a S&W pin barrel Model 60 I bought from my distributor in 1979. It has been highly tuned with a 2 1/2lb DA trigger pull& a 13oz SA trigger pull at Dales Gun Shop in Gilmer when Dale was still a Deputy and had not run for Sherrif yet. It wears a pair of hand carved finger grooved cocobolo grips taken from a clay mold of my hand, and points where I look without thinking just like my 1st finger does.
There was a 20+ year time frame where I slept with my hand wrapped around this pistol more than I slept at home with my hand wrapped around .... I love to rabbit hunt mid winter briar thickets with this piece using semi wad cutters & is more fun than a barrel of monkeys chasing adult beverage cans with it.
Only time I used it for real work was killing a rabid skunk in Carrollton when the PD & Animal Control refused 911 service repeatedly on Silverleaf Dr between Old Denton and Standridge...but the PD still wanted to put me in jail for an illegal Firearms Discharge in City Limits & wanted to seize the weapon and everything else I had in the house....about 30-40 long guns & 18 handguns - mostly company samples at the time. I had a personal nose to nose loud intimate visit with the Assitant City Manager on the way home from taking my 3 English Setters to the Vet for Shots & Quarantine, while leaning over the top of his desk about the lack of the City's response while covered in Eau de Skunk Juice just like the dogs had been....and offered him a "Free Interview" about the subject on Channel 8 where a buddy was a camera man for the Investigative Reporter like Brett Shipp is now. THAT S&W has been a few miles down the road with me & I'll keep it forever.
FWIW 3 weeks later same lack of response to another series of rabid skunk 911 calls at the entrance of the CISD Jr High on Frankford while the school custodians held the skunk pinned against a wall with brooms while 600+ students walked into the bldg 20 feet away & nobody could figure out which City had the Emergency Responsability where the City Lines met in front of the school on Frankford just West of Kelly...I called the [censored]'t City Manager and asked him if he needed my "assitance" again until they could figure it all out...what a Cluster.... Ron

I got my Grampas Model 12 12gauge made in 1914 and also his Winchester 1890 22 short. I'm taking the model 12 out for dove this coming week in his honor. I'll never sell these two guns.

They will have to pry them from my cold hands. None will be sold just passed down as some was to me.

Daddy's Model 94. Daddy's Model 50 Winchester auto shotgun. My first Spesco .410 single shot. My first Stevens Crackshot .22. My Sako AV Deluxe .270 I bought in 1979 with summer job money and is still my primary rifle. My Ruger Red Label .28 gauge-shoots like it is a part of me. There are many others I cannot imagine selling, but one can never say never I guess. Except I can say never as to those 6 guns above. My first bolt action in Remington 700 .243 would be on the list, but I have already given it to my daughter.

My great Grandfather's SXS .12 gauge. It's a brand I'd never heard of and checked online. Seems it originally came out of a chain of hardware stores in Chicago. Found one that had sold at auction for $47.00
To me, it's priceless.
And my beat to hell, Glock M17 Gen 2. It has never failed, hiccuped or balked at anything I've run thru it.
