Could not pass that deal up.

Also got a youth model 20 gauge Weatherby SA-08 for the daughter.
Getting ready for teal season.

Great deal!

I'd buy a Beretta AL390. My experience is that it's the most dependable shotgun on the market and a dove killing machine.

Too bad their sale didn't include some of the many I want...(no issues with Franchi, I just have another gun family tree I want to complete first)...

I have a Weatherby SA-08 12ga and love it. I'm not sure about 7/8 oz loads, though, but it's cycled everything else I've fed it so far.

BTW, the A300 is soft shooting but I added a Limbsaver pad anyway. The model 10702 is prefit to this particular Beretta stock and you just need a screwdriver to install it. I have one on my A300 and my 3901. Just a thought.

Thank you guys for all of the great info. I took it out and shot some clay pigeons today and absolutely loved it. I ran 4 boxes of shells through it and never had one FTE. Was shooting some federal and some rio 1oz loads. Shot my Remington 1100 also a little today and forgot how great it felt. But it is going to be nice having a gun I can get a little dirty without having to worry about the wood finish. Cant wait for some hunting!!!

This. Put the right piston in and go to town with it.

I just purchased this gun in 28 Gauge for my dad to shoot this year; I shot it this morning and my God what a phenomenal little gun!

Good thing you didn't mention this in the Open Hunting section!

Why not? I thought they loved talking about Dicks in the Open Hunting section.

A Remington Versamax with cycle 7/8 all day long, I have shot two different ones using my 3/4 oz reloads, no problems, not a single one.

I didn't get a chance to make it out to the gun range before the season started. I shot nothing but 1oz Rios through my Urika the first 2 days of the season and didn't have a single issue. I definitely went through more shells than I'd care to admit!
