 Dove Hunting - Which is Busier?

So this is my first dove hunting season and I am STOKED! Which is busier, the first day or the first weekend? I have a lot of freedom with my work, and can go during the week a lot. I will be hunting the public lands also. Would it be better to wait until after opening day, or is all week pretty crazy too?

Its crazy all week here in Tom Green Co... slows down after that.
