On the function aspect, what is the difference in using a pistol tube buffer and spring VS carbine buffer tube and spring?
Is it only because of the application (ie Pistol being round VS Carbine designed for stock to be mounted)?
Is there a difference in the springs themselves (ie recoil produced by various cartridges)?
PRIVATELY OWNED TAHC permitted feral swine holding facility. Serving Gulf Coast and South Texas ranchers, farmers, hunters, and residents with abatement. Disposal, Traps and in-field pick-up service available.

A "pistol" buffer tube is just round carbine tube so there is no provision for adding a stock. The spring and buffer are the same

basically what was stated above.. pistol is just a straight tube that has no capability of adding a stock. carbine buffers can allow you to add an adjustable stuck or some of them are rigid stocks with the tube fixed inside. all about prefrence really.

If ur ar is configured as a pistol, unless you have nfa tax stamp, dont put a carbine tube and stock on the AR. Just saying.
