I am going to take a wild guess and say you don't shoot that much through the year. I would recommend buying a new string and getting it serviced. Do you wax your string? Have you checked the servings? As a side note, the Q2 is a dang good bow

Bow companies recommend every two years through normal use, and of course if you see wear. I think it's about time, I'd contact Korbin Stings good guy and awesome strings. Also a pretty good rule of thumb is every 2500 3000 shots depending string care.
I wouldn't shoot that bow on a bet without new strings and cables!

As a side note, the Q2 is a dang good bow Yes it is!!! Believe it or not, I didn't change mine for the first 9 yrs. Not saying to wait that long, but after I bought that bow brand new and got her zeroed in, I would shoot a few days before season, a few days during season, then a few times after season, mostly on hog hunts. I kept the string in real good shape, didn't shoot a whole lot during the year, hence it lasting so long. Once it started showing a little fraying, I changed it. That was 3 or 4 yrs ago and the string now still looks brand new.

He's so darn busy he doesn't have much time to get on the computer; but not so busy that someone will not call you on the phone with questions about strings. I emailed them last week on Sunday and Monday morning I got a phone call. They are a class act.

i've had mine on for 9 years, still shoots fine great. as long as string is not worn/frayed i wouldn't worry about it. I don't shoot much, probably less than 1500 shots in all 9 years so mine still has some life in it.

Just at archery place and was told every 4-5 years and waxing to be done on specific areas all the time. Avoid getting in Cams
