The current (September) issue of Deer and Deer Hunting magazine includes an above average number of good articles covering deer behavior, hunting tactics, and safety practices. Those who are new to the sport, as as well as those just looking to increase their knowledge base, should find this issue to be one that never hits the waste basket.
"Some people will never like you because your spirit irritates their demons."

I didn't know there was such a magazine. I doubt you can find in at Walgreens between Cosmo and Better Homes and Gardens. Where do you get it?

After many discussions about hunting, a coworker of mine has taken me under his wing as a hunting mentor to me. First thing he did was give me this issue of Deer and Deer Hunting, pre-folded to the article on tree stand safety harnesses. All the articles are a great resource

He's a hard worker, and religiously manages his land. Since I'm looking to buy land this year, I couldn't ask for a better teacher to learn how to manage land for hunting.
