Rains have hit just right and the bottom lands are starting to flood. Its looking like a great duck season!!! Whos ready to start shooting??

I was out planting Japanese Millet on Sunday when the rain hit. hopefully it will get sprouted and dropping seed in November for duck season.

Verdict is still out up north here. I'm still going to wait to check my spots cause with the rest of August and Sept left what could have water now can also evaporate in this heat. Now if we get some more big rain pours like we had all my spots will get the proper treatment.

We had a rain in Glen Rose about a month back and it filled up our lake completely. Our lake was literally split down the middle because it was so dry! Thankfully by the grace of God I think we will have a good duck season
