A buddy of mine at work is selling his in excellent condition Scar 17S in FDE. He bought it new a few months ago and has approx 200 rounds through it and comes with a few hundred rounds of plinking ammo. He's willing to part with it for $1900.
Is this an obvious? Buy and beg forgiveness from the wife later?

If your wife won't let you have it, I'd go for a deal like that.

$1,900 for a 17S is a crazy good deal, I would be all over it. Love my Scar 17!

A unit I was deployed with issued every one of their people two SCAR Mk17s in hope they would be able to have one working at any given time. The guy I worked with most from that unit was down to his second rifle, and it had been back for overhaul four times to try and make it run. They shoot very nicely, when they shoot.

Man she sure is sweet. Got her today with 200 rounds of Magtech 7.62x51 147gr FMJ.
