I have a 24 inch one and it shoots great. I have shot it to 1000 yards using the 123gr Hornady.

I hunt and compete with a custom 260. If I were down to one rifle that would be the one. If you like the Savage but its yoo long, buy it and have a smith cut it shorter for you.

Would you happen to know a good smith to cut it down?

Yes I do, but he's up by me. You could mail the barreled action or find a smith close to you to do it. Cutting and recrowning a barrel is no big deal for a smith and usually not expensive.

Mine is 16.5" and is sub-moa all day.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I love my creed. I have a stock weatherby and it shoots lights out better than I can. Gonna drop a new trigger in eventually and upgrade the glass from the nikon pro 7 it has now but it has fast become my favorite round. I'm just waiting until after the wedding to contact horizon to build an even better one than an off the shelf

It has a 24" barrel, but it is a medium-heavy and is fluted. You could always have it cut down. The Accustock models have much better magazines and are inherently more accurate.

I shoot one! And I love it! I've had it for a month and it's the best shooting rifle I have ever fired...not owned...ever fired! I thought about buying the Weatherby Vanguard or the savage but decided to get a custom. No regrets! It's a tack driver!
